I asked Simon for a yard of ale and that was what he gave me, I think he might have exaggerated.

So good to see so many of the regulars are here, clearly I need to stop by more often.

I didn't even know this existed. It clearly needs a relaunch and maybe some re branding. Strewth! I'll have a schooner if anyone's buying.

The Portugal Resident is reporting 39 dead and at least 50 injured.

The sky last night looking from my place towards the PG direction looked like armageddon had arrived.

It would seem we lost our house and the old Merc.
Thankfully our tenants managed to escape but they lost everything.

Still sketchy reports as power and mobile phone masts are down.

I hope all expaters in the area are safe. If anyone needs help / accommodation please post on the forum.

Champagne all round - Simon is paying :-)

That was a bit frivolous, but their house was saved after all, thanks to heroic actions. So a huge relief!

On a more serious note: all the Juntas near me have become collection points for badly needed goods. No doubt lots of Juntas are doing the same.
