Hello Everyone,
For those who may remember me and my family (Bruxinha) and our much loved fourth German Shepherd Dillon (Dilly Pill) who was one of thousands of strays uncared for in Pt. I would if I may like to share a sad day in our household. Today our Dutch Vet J J came to the house and assisted Dilly into having a long sleep after which he cuddled me (and I unashamedly needed it). Dilly was almost 12 years old and gave us so much love. We buried him in our woodlands among what will be next spring's carpet of bluebells. Anyone who is an animal lover will identify with...... that tonight the heart ache we are going through and it does not become any easier when you loose another much loved member of the family. Bruxinha has received many very kind condolences and I wish to thank everybody who was and still is a member of this forum inclusive of Simon P.
Ali (Belinda) xxxx

ps I hope everyone in PT is ok. xx

Hello Ali and good to see you after a long absence.

I am so sorry to learn of your loss which I know right now feels raw and painful. We went through the same ordeal nearly two years ago when my beloved Magic Sam (Boo) my big black cat, had to leave me when he was 20. He was born in Buckinghamshire, moved to the Isle of Wight and then onward to Portugal when he was six. He will always be with me.

You gave Dillon a wonderful home and life. Remember all the sweet memories and good times you shared.

Hello Ali,

First time I have logged on here for ages and saw your sad post.

I know exactly what you are going through now and you have my heart felt condolences.

People who really know and love dogs understand, others do not, sadly.

Lord only knows why why our beloved friends have such a relativly short life, yet they pack so much love and tolerance for us into those years they are simply amazing.

I feel your loss. Rest in peace and love Dillon.

Andy. xx
