Hi,
Looks like soon we will be moving to a place with a garden out of lisbon
This means we can have a dog :)
We have decided on a Podengo, perhaps a larger example of a pequeno or a smaller example of a médio
Would like a pure (for predictability), but a mix is a possibility (e.g. we like droopy ears more) wire haired for sure
Any thoughts, info, experiences etc?
Are médios more likely to bolt for it?
Where to get from nearish to Lisboa?
From puppy is a requirement.
We've both had dogs before, daughter now old enough to take responsibility

Cheers

Leigh

Only a brief message because I have to dash out. I have half a podengo and he is fabulous. Don't know if you are on Facebook but check out this page: https://www.facebook.com/podengopowerportugal/

Sometimes puppies are also looking for good homes. And of course adult dogs....

Thanks!
I'll keep an eye on it and now know that we aren't looking to be a 'FAT'
I looked it up; Famílias de Acolhimento Temporário (FAT)

Thanks Joe,
That's a very useful site
I think there is a rescue place somewhere in/near Lisbon that 'specializes' in Podengos, but lost the contact when I was 'improving' my phone (again) flashing another ROM.
