Has anyone here matriculated a trailer? The only thing i can think off to change, is the hazed light; to the other side. Any info. on how to go about the matriculation would be most welcome.

Hi Nogard

I had a Lynton Loadlugger four wheel box trailer a few years ago. I went to the IMT who told me only a trailer with a manufacturers plate with weights etc could be Matriculated. I contacted Lynton who told me the trailer could not be plated because it was never intended to be exported. I also called Ifor Willaims who confirmed that to export to an EU country only trailers with a plate fitted to the chassis would do.

I went back to the IMT in Coimbra and an engineer from an office in the Building came down to see mecame down. The engineer explained that it was possible with the help of an Automotive engineer who could draw up a new Certificate of Conformity for the trailer. However he did say it may be cheaper to buy a ready plated trailer.

After all this i sold the trailer.

Hi Nogard

Don't give up call and ask at the IMT, my experience was about 5/6 years ago but good luck.
