Hi thanks for the info . Will respectfully hold off till I hear from you it just that with nothing getting through had to post a item to see what was wrong, as all the estate agents I contact in Portugal have not posted the property for sale on any of their website even though they have accepted the key peter

Thanks Peter 354 and Thanks Peter FC!
Hello, I'm here and yes sorry, the estateagentsportugal is a mystery among many left behind by our great omnipotent forum master, spownall.
What I'm going to do I think is set up a new section within the forum for people to advertise their properties on. Maybe it has a little paywall where you pay €20 to post? What we could also do is put property ads in the right hand column for a reduced price like €50 or something - then they'd get lots of attention. Everyone, please let me know what you think of this idea. Then I'd cross promote them on social media which really needs some activity.
Meanwhile peter354, why don't you post your property in the classifieds section. Also we recommend Pure Portugal for property advertising. I love them on my instagram feed, so much temptation, so far away!
I probably won't get around to making these website changes for a few months, because I HAVE TO GET MY BOOK FINISHED.

I certainly think it would be helpful if it were made easier to post ads on the site - both for houses / flats and for other stuff.
My suggestion would be ( if it is necessary to charge and I accept it might be ) to charge maybe 10 Euros per ad for house / flat ads and maybe 5 Euros per ad for other stuff ( ok maybe 10 again for cars ).
The key is that the ad should be time limited for say 28 days from first entry, so sellers would be motivated to renew the ad if it was still current. That way the business of long out of date ads still being online and wasting everyone's time would end automatically, and the site owner might have a useful little income stream from the requirement to renew the ads.
Estate Agents could still be charged differently to private advertisers ( but again with their ads having a time limit if not specifically renewed ).
Ads which are still current / valid are a v useful element of interactive users' websites like this one so I do hope this will be taken on board by the new owner in due course.
I would stress that the above is merely my suggestion for improvement to the site : even as it is it has been and remains useful and helpful and many thanks are due to Simon ( r.i.p. ) and Emma.
