I have had to replace my via verde box. They are different designs and I now have to remove the old one. I cannot move it, has anybody any tips or done this themselves.

I have just received a new via verde too which will go up today. I hope the old one removes easily so following this conversation just in case.

I found it very difficult to remove. I got some thick cotton and sawed at it for quite some time before it came off.

Got it off. Came off fairly easily in the end, used a sharp thin bladed knife and cut up with a rocking rather than sawing motion.

On the same subject, has anyone had to replace the battery in their Via Verde box. Mine is 4 years old now and I worry that it will suddenly stop working. Or, does it have some sort of solar recharging?

No the units cannot be opened. This is why I had to get a new one. It lasted over eight years though so shouldn't be a problem for you for a while yet.

Warm the adhesive with a hair dryer and lever it away from one corner quite slowly. Continue warming and it will slowly release. Via Verde shops/outlets will sell you a new adhesive pad
