|
|
Hello,
We had a granite wall renovated, but unfortunately, they did that in part with new stones. I don't like the colordifference at all. To remove the new stones is not an option.
Does anyone know of a way to treat the new stones so that they look older and thus more alike the older ones?
Thanks a lot,
Josephina |

I don't know if it would work on granite but a trick garden sculptors use is to smear natural yoghurt over their work which speads up the ageing process as the bacteria get to work. _________________ I get enough exercise just pushing my luck. |

Try a pressure washer on the old stones to clean them. (but once you start you have to do the whole lot!)
The yoghurt will work, but probably not in this weather. Wait until it is warm (not baking hot) and damp. |

Usually to get moss growth faster - but this needs two other things 1. damp, moisture and the other is shade - no sun.
Why not toss mud, etc at it and get an overall "dirt" look, this will cover the mortar discoloured - have a mud party! _________________ Dont forget to tell those you love that you do! |
