Lousã is located below the hills of the Serra da Lousã, about 40 minutes from the University City of Coimbra. A friendly place with plenty of supermarkets, cafes and events and activities all year round.

Famous for its' 'Liquor Beirão', a locally produced spirit.

The castle is well worth a visit and during the summer months you can swim in the river below. Above the river pool is the Restaurant 'O Burgo' serving traditional dishes.

Lousã is overlooked by the Serra da Lousã hills. Take the road over the hills towards Figueiro dos Vinhos for some stunning views and the opportunity to check out the wind turbines close up. They are BIG!!!
